DADvocate Project Survey -Exercise Stats
I chose to post this graph tonight because I just got back from my first run after being sick for about 2 weeks. It was a great run and I’m excited to kick it back into gear. I jogged 1.2 miles walked a mile and then ran 1 mile. I would have liked to have jogged the whole thing but I’m happy to settle because I was out there. I left my house at 10:15 PM by the way and returned at 10:55 PM. That’s some pretty slow jogging/runing but it looks like I’m doing a heck of a lot better than a large portion of folks who exercise less than once per month.
As a dad it’s hard to find time to exercise but if you don’t find the time and make the time then you will ultimately have less time available to spend with your kids and family. I’m making the time this year and working to run 1/2 marathon. I’ve been recording my progress over at http://intrepidrunner.wordpress.com in the comments. I was keeping a squidoo page at the beginning of the year over at Squidoo called FatManRunning which I am going to start updating again but only once per week. Finally if your looking to get in shape and need some inspiration checkout AtlantaFatBoy.
If you must know I fall into the 4X per week. 3 days running and core muscle exercises, and 1 day walk. I ‘ve been pretty good about this schedule since Thanksgiving.
I almost forgot. If you haven’t taken the DADvocate survey please do so by clicking here.
